At The Harbors at Haverstraw one phrase you may never hear again is, "There's nothing to do around here". Start with The Promenade, one and a half miles of pure visual delight along the water's edge. If you walk south you'll come upon the 9-acre Estuary Park that will lead to the planned cable-car station which will take you to the top of High Tor Mountain. Walking north on the Promenade you can cross over the Lagoon Bridge, past the terminal fountain to the present Ferry Landing. Then you'll walk around the Marina Bay over a boardwalk to the shores of Emeline Park, home of the future Civili's Restaurant and a planned "Festival Meadow" which will offer town fairs, concerts, festivals and other community events.
Your walk continues along the Promenade to the main Ferry and Fishing pier which will also accommodate cruise ships and serve as a port-of-call along the Hudson and as the focal point of Main Street. Buzzy O'Keeffe's planned Inn and Spa plus a new convention center will also be located here. There will also be a 450-car garage with a one-acre rooftop pavilion housing a coffee house, kiosks and another major restaurant.
The rotunda at the foot of Main Street will house a museum and a popular-priced restaurant. Now that you've finished your walk along the Promenade, head back to The Clubhouse to socialize and relax in the lounge or game room or enjoy a workout in the health center and spa. Take a swim in the pool or get a game going on the indoor basketball court. There's even a corner store for a variety of convenience foods plus coffee and snacks. And of course, you can also take your kyack or boat out onto the beautiful Hudson River. There's never a dull moment at The Harbors at Haverstraw.
