Since opening for sales in early 2005, The Harbors at Haverstraw has become a very special community and a unique catalyst for a renaissance in the Village of Haverstraw, which in itself is transforming into a charming destination. One of the most exciting plans is for a cable car linking the new Estuary Park adjacent to the Harbors to High Tor Mountain State Park where an historical Revolutionary War Beacon and a mountain-top restaurant have been proposed. The cable car will provide access to the "Long Path" featuring breathtaking views of the Hudson River, and eventually connecting to the Appalachian Trail.
